About the owner:
Karen is a creative soul with a love of gifting. Ever since childhood she has created handmade, quality gifts for family and friends. She holds a B.S. in Art from Nazareth College of Rochester, NY and has a background in graphic design, and marketing. After some years working in the corporate world, and later raising children and designing and sewing for the home, she started designing monogrammed toile handbags for local Atlanta shops.

In 1998 after a 1 year illness, her second daughter, passed from a brain tumor at age 2. The company is named for her (TRN Designs), and she continues to be an inspiration to Karen and her family.

She is also mom to 3 humans ranging in ages from 17 -25, plus one sweet 11 year old yellow Lab, Ella and various foster dogs who come and go when they need a place to stay.

"The goal of the company is to offer beautiful personalized gifts, that give a bit of the 'wow' when they are received," says Karen. "Why give plain when you can give personalized and handmade? We are always scouting new fashions, colors and patterns and are largely influenced by the trends of the season, never forgetting what is useful and beautiful to own. We also adhere to a principle of being "green" and  minimizing our impact on the environment. You will notice all of of our shipping mailers are recycled and reusable and our cartons are up-cycled from a local tea factory. Even our gift wrap is environmentally friendly, printed on degradable kraft paper and with real ribbons that can be reused."
